Underwater Maternity in the Bahamas with Pigs, Sharks, and a Gunboat!

As I walked onto the Staniel Cay Yacht Club dock after traveling a day and a half, I was finally going to meet my Underwater Maternity clients.  I was so anxious to begin shooting as this was my first time to be in the Exuma, Bahamas. My Clients had been sailing for several days from Miami with their friend and assistant captain, Rowland, and had just docked the night before I arrived. Perfect timing I would say!

That morning as I was flying to the island,I thought to myself, I am about to spend four days on a boat in the middle of the North Atlantic Ocean with three people I have never met before. It, however, did not take me long to realize that both my clients and Rowland were the nicest and most sincere people.  In the end, I was grateful and honored to have been able to spend time with them and to have also been a part of documenting this incredible time in their lives.

Our Underwater adventures took us to Pig Island, Iguana Island, and the famous James Bond grotto where the 1965 movie, “Thunderball” was filmed.

By divine appointment, my path crossed with these three (and a baby on the way) amazing people and together we were able to create some   epic creative underwater images.
