As I was photographing Emily I realized I had so many more options for posing because the wind was really gusting. I have no idea how many bridal portraits I have taken but I can tell you that this is one of the few that I have photographed in windy conditions. I got to meet a lot of Emily’s family on this day and I think each one pitched in a hand or two at one point or another. If you are reading this I would really like your opinion. I have included 3 variations of the last image. Please comment on which look you like best.
Thanks,
Kevin
I love the first & 4th ones : ) As for the last image, I like the color a lot! The blue toned one would be awesome if you just brought back a little more tone in her face, it seems a touch blown out from my computer. They all look great, but that’s just my opinion! Great work! I really enjoy your blog : )

middle one.Maybe add a bit of vignette, too.
My favorite is the very first picture, but they’re all awesome – great veil for a windy day! Same as the first comment – I like the blue-toned picture, but her skin is a little hot. The grass and sky look awesome, and it has a cool magical feel!
I love them all! But then I’m her Mother! I do like the color picture of her on the levee more than the other colorations. Can’t wait to see the rest of them!
If my sister could be any more gorgeous, I’d have to drive around screaming out my car window every day. Unbelievable. I agree about the color on the last image–the others are elegant and lovely, but the vibrant blue and gold call attention contrast against the ivory of her skin and dress so well.
PS Thanks, Kevin (and Jennifer, fabulous assistant-for-the-afternoon), for such a fun afternoon helping us all celebrate Emily’s upcoming nuptials. That day will be all the more wonderful!
OF COURSE…I love them all Kevin! But I think I like the first one of the last three the best.
great work, Kevin! (as always) And of course, you’ve known me long enough to know I’m a sucker for a great black and white image – so the last image does it for me – absolutely stunning.
